I love that this lock has 3 methods to unlock: Fingerprint, Keypad and Fob. The keypad and fob work flawlessly every time. The keypad has large backlit blue numbers and is very responsive with an optional audio tone. The fingerprint reader works just like your phone: If your finger or lock is wet, it won't work reliably, but a simple wipe makes it work perfectly. If you want to use a fob, you don't have to buy fobs from Sifely, although they provide two. Any mifare classic fob will work, even the sticky "dots" you can put on the back of your phone or phone case. Mifare classic isn't the most secure so you won't want to use this method on any building requiring the highest level of security, but easy to manage if you want to duplicate fobs easily without having to access the lock to add a new one - fob duplicators are widely available on .The passage mode is great: You can set it up so that the first person through the door (with access method) during the times you chose opens the door for the "day" and it will automatically relock at the end of the day. I use this for my "Covid Office" (a converted shed) so I don't have to constantly unlock it as I go back and forth, but know that it will always relock at night.Unlike some other locks, the lock mechanism itself isn't powered - just engaged. So after you present your credentials, you turn the handle like any other dumb lock. The advantage with this approach is that battery use is minimized. Sifely claims one year. I am only two months in so can't comment on that, but their estimate seems reasonable. Too many locks require you to change batteries every 3-6 months. But even then, if the battery runs out you can still open the door by plugging in a USB battery bank.It is one of the best looking locks as well. The handle motion is smooth and professional. If you are looking for a lock for your home, I highly recommend it.
